The Santa Monica Lions Club has been active in Santa Monica/Westside supporting many local public service organizations, while promoting the mission of Lions Club International (LCI), since 1923. In 2021 we merged with the Pacific Palisades Lions Club to become the Santa Monica - Pacific Palisades Lions Club.

The Club provides financial assistance to local nonprofits that are located on the Westside as well as Lions Clubs International programs. Special service projects, in partnership with local nonprofits, provide multiple opportunites for hands-on experiences.

The SMPP Club recognizes outstanding members on the Westside at our Community Recognition Dinner and sponsors the Lions Student Speaker's Contest starting each January, allowing students from local high schools to compete for college scholarships.  

In addition to Club sponsored activites, members also select and attend a number of social events each year that include, theater performances, concerts, and guided tours.
