Lions pay tribute to the loss of the iconic Sag Harbor Cinema Façade lost in the fire of 12/16/16

We have replaced our original image of the Windmill with a historic photo from the early 1960’s with a picture of the iconic landmark façade of the Sag Harbor Cinema which was demolished due to a fire on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016.  Two stores to the left, the bakery on the right, which was replaced with a three-story building with a real estate office and apartments, along with several other stores to the right were lost in the fire.

The Sag Harbor Lions Club meets the needs of our local community and the world because we share a core belief - to serve our community.  Please look at Our Projects and We Serve pages to see how we fundraise, serve our community through action and who our Charitable Trust supports. You can also view our 2016-17 Annual Report for a wrap up of last fiscal year's work from the link above.  View our Calendar to stay abreast with our activities and meetings at the top right of this page.

We have a 63-year history of service to Sag Harbor, the surrounding East End communities, Suffolk County District 20-S, New York State & Bermuda MD20, and Lions International.

Please consider attending a monthly dinner meeting at the American Hotel and finding about our Lions mission.  If you're interested in membership see our About/Membership/Contact page while we celebrate Lions Club International's Centennial Celebration, 1917-2017.

The New Global Service Framework

We now focus the efforts of Lions and Leos on five service areas with the goal of tripling our humanitarian impact by serving 200 million people per year by 2021. The Global Service Framework complements all of the great ways clubs serve locally and gives Lions and Leos new opportunities to help meet the growing challenges facing humanity.

No matter how you choose to serve, Lions matter now more than ever!

Be looking for the Sag Harbor club to add several smaller community service activities in these five areas: Diabetes awareness gatherings, Adopt-A-Road services, and more.
