10th Annual Verne Ardrey Golf

Pictured above are the hole and corporate sponsors for the 10th Annual Golf Outing held August 4.  For the first time in 10 years, the event was postponed due to rain and will be completed on September 8 @ 8:00am.  Teams registered for the original event need to merely show up, get in their carts and play.  Teams wishing to join the outing can play for $240 per team, payable at the course.  This will be a no frills event, with the $240 covering green fees, cart, skin game and mulligans.  No food will be served since the participants on August 4 enjoyed Donut World donuts, a classic Rushville Lions barbequed chicken dinner, and soft drinks donated by Zane Trace Carrry Out.  We'll play golf, hand out prizes and head home to watch the Buckeyes put a beating on Tulane.  Sponson signs will continue on display at the Rushville Clubhouse until the replay on September 8.  The Large size signs are our corporate sponsors, the midsize ones are for hole sponsors, and the small ones are for co-hole sponsors.  These sponsors allow our club to support numerous causes both locally and outside of Fairfiled County.  Just to name a few, we support Fairfield Union athletic and music events, the Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank (which provided tissue for over 1200 corneal transplants last year), Pilot Dogs, Inc., Diabetes Research, LCI Foundation (which has provided over a billion dollars to eye research and disaster relief), and eye exams and glasses for those in our area who need financial support.  Among our service projects, we sponsor six bloodmobile events a year and ring the bells for the Salvation Army the entire week of December 17-22 at Kroger East in Lancaster.  Run by the club and see our sponsors and support local business!
