What is Lions Message in a Bottle?
Its a simple idea that encourges people to keep their personal and medical details in a common place where these can easily be found in an emergency.
The bottles and form are supplied FREE of charge to people from the Lions club who complete the form and put inside the bottle and keep it in the fridge. Two self adhesive labels are supplied and one is fixed on the inside of the front door or the main entrance to the property and the other is on the door of the fridge. All of the emergency services are aware of this scheme and if they are called to the property and see the label they instantly go to the kitchen, find the fridge and retrieve the bottle. They then have all of the information needed to treat the patient and contact the patients prefered contacts. This is helpful if the patient is unresponsive and or has known allergies.
