OUR MISSION

The Rio Rancho Host Lions Club has been serving its community since its inception in 1974. The Lions are your friends and neighbors volunteering to help the visually impaired as well as reaching out to those Rio Rancho residents who are underprivileged or in need of our help.

WHO WE ARE

The Rio Rancho Host Lions Club is part of Multiple District 40 North which is part of Lions Clubs International (LCI), the world's largest service organization. Our club supports and provides financial aid to the district, state, and international sight projects and are also involved in community programs.

WHAT WE DO

Each year the Rio Rancho Host Lions Club provides "Kid- Sight" eye screenings to hundreds of children within the Rio Rancho Schools, and beyond.  We host a Christmas party for the sight impaired children in the Rio Rancho School District.  This party is one of the highlights of our year.  We provide a full turkey dinner for their entire family and Christmas gifts for the sight impaired children. Christmas carols and a visit from Santa Claus are enjoyed by all.  We are involved with "A Park Above" which is a park in Rio Rancho, catering to people of all abilities.  In addition to these projects, the Rio Rancho Host Lions Club also provides eye exams and eyeglasses to qualified Rio Rancho Students. This is all possible through the efforts of the volunteers who hold fund-raisers to support such projects. The club also collects used eyeglasses for recycling. Each year, funds are raised and given out in the form of donations to various local, district, and international projects.
