Meetings

Some say volunteer service is the rent we pay
for living in and being nurtured by our community.

What Does it Take to be a Lion?
Lion Joyce Pittman, PDG

Often when I approach someone to talk to them about membership in The Richmond West Breakfast Lions club they say, “I don’t have the time.” How much time does it actually take?

So HOW MUCH TIME? I looked at my club – I added it up.
At the minimum:

2 meetings per month.........................................2 hours
         Drive to the meeting...........................................1 hour
Annual...............................................................36 hours

2 fund raising projects per year 3 hours each ....6 hours
1 additional activity.............................................2 hours
                                                                                                                                    TOTAL...............................................................44 hours

That is less than two days per year to help make your community a better place to live, for you, yours, and all the less fortunate of your area, and to help others around the world.

Plus, you have the chance to have some fun and enjoy the fellowship of others who care about our community. We strive to never waste the member's time!

Can YOU find the time? Can YOU find the time to help others? Do the math and JOIN!
