Retford Lions Club boasts 43 years of service and Club President for 2023/24 is a very experienced, compassionate and dedicated Lion Margaret Campbell MJF

The Club currently has 27 men and women who serve the community in Retford and villages to the south and occasionally those in need much further away. Members give up their time freely and use knowledge skill and experience to bring support to those in need.

Members meet every fortnight to plan fundraising events and consider requests for help received.  Lions are proud to claim that running costs for Retford Club and the world wide organisation are all covered by members subscriptions.

Retford Lions are probably best known for their activities at Christmas, bringing Santa to so many doorsteps and the annual duck races in May which so many people enjoy.

The Club regularly supports major services in the local community -  the two hospices, the air ambulance and hospital services but it's just as keen to support separate individuals and small groups who deserve some help.
