Children with special needs from the Reedsburg area have attended the Wisconsin Lions Foundation Camp in Rosholt, WI for a number of years. The Reedsburg Club contributes funds which helps them attend at no charge. In addition members of the Reedsburg Lions Club, lead by Lion Joe Ketter, provide transportation for area childern to and from Camp Rosholt .

It’s a absolutly great facility and one of which we are very proud: 440 acres, private lake, 37 buildings including a health center, dining hall. air-conditioned cabins and a number of outdoor activity centers. About 1500 campers with vision, hearing, cognitive or diabetes challenges attend each summer from some 400 Wisconsin communities.

The facility includes an eyeglass recycling center (one of only a few in the U.S.) that processes about one million pairs of glasses a year for missions to developing countries.   The Reedsburg Lions club members lead by Lion Tom Geimer and Lion Phil Wells collect eyegass from collection boxes at Reedsburg area business and transport them to the eyeglass recycling center at Camp Rosholt.
