2018 Projects

We are currently supporting End 68 Hours of Hunger for Raymond.  Raising awareness of the Program and assisting in bagging food and delivering to schools.  Program is in need of Volunteers on a weekly schedule to help bag the items for the children to receive, all are asked and welcomed to become a part of the Program. 

 

1. OKS - Operation Kids Sight - eye testing for all children in Raymond and Freemont through the schools; 2. Expand our Medial Equipment Program for those in need of medical equipment at no cost; 3. Install our LIONS signs throughout Raymond to let the community know we are here; 4. 2 Raymond High School Scholarships; 5. Collect used glasses to be recylced for countries in need 103 colected in 2017; 6 Start a Diabetes awareness program; Spread the word,Lions Club is here to Serve ; just to name a few.

 

To increase Membership – Why?

Membership dues helps support our Town, Our Country and Our World – dues are paid once a year and goes towards all the Lions Club projects throughout the world (LCI and LCIF)

You may or may not wish to attend every meeting, not necessary, once you are a member you will be notified of every move we make, either by email or regular mail. If you have an hour a month to attend, welcome, if not you will still be informed.  If you have a special interest in one of our programs, you are welcomed to volunteer as your time allows, either way you are always a Lions Club member and can be proud of your membership. 

Raymond Lions Club’s goals and projects are to let the citizens of Raymond know they have the Lions Club as a support system:

  • Working with the Raymond Area Rotary Club to distribute holiday meals, Christmas & Thanksgiving Baskets, to 50 area families in conjunction with Rockingham Community Action
  • 2 annual $750 scholarships
  • Is using the OKS (Operation Kits Sight) throughout the Town so that by high school age every student will have been tested, from pre-school through middle school
  • Working towards sight and hearing tests for our elderly
  • Joining the LEOS Club (high school age members) with the Raymond Coalition For Youth to promote awareness and save our children from drug addiction
  • Provide medical equipment collectted to those in need (no charge)
  • Collecting glasses to be recycled and sent to 3rd world countries (USA cannot distribute recycled glasses)
  • Fundraising to support our ongoing programs and projects
