The Prospect Road Lions Club is involved in many community projects during the year.  Among them are the following:

Remembrance Day - we lay a commemorative wreath during the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Legion on November 11 each year.

Seniors Christmas Dinner - in co-operation with the White's Lake Legion, we prepare and serve a full turkey dinner to the seniors in our area, free of charge.  The evening is complete with entertainment and door prizes.  Other volunteers in our area, such as our local fire department, are also on hand to assist in  serving the meal and a good time is had by all.

Project Pride - Lions Project Pride is a program for Canadian Lions Clubs to express their pride in Canada by meeting with the Grade 1 students in our area.  We have the opportunity to instill pride in their country by presenting them with a Canadian flag and a certificate and to speak with them about our great country. The presentation represents the diversity of our country and the pride we have in being Canadian.

Canada Day - we have held Canada Day Celebrations in our community.  Activities have included a BBQ, fish pond, jelly bean count contest, bouncy castle, fire truck display and a children's bike parade with trophies for the winners.

Other club activities:
- collecting used eyeglasses for recycling.
- providing a yearly scholarship for an outstanding high school student from our area..
- participating in community clean-up efforts in our area.
