Each year Lions Camp Dogwood for the Visually  Impaired has campers for 10 weeks.  A different group attend each week.  This photo is the "TOUCH" museum at the Camp Dogwood Lodge. The last night silly awards are given and a King and Queen are crowned.  Visually Impaired go bowling, horseback riding, play putt putt golf, make crafts, and go boat riding and fishing.  Each camper is fed 3 good meals a day.  In the mornings they have a flag raising, devotions and make arts and crafts.  One evening they go dancing.  Each afternoon icecream is served with several toppings on the screen porch at the Lodge. Each week Lion members volunteer as helpers at the camp.

 


November--Lions feed and entertain Senior Citizens--Second Thursday in Nov. at 7PM  THIS EVENT IS FREE TO ALL SENIORS IN THE PILOT COMMUNITY.


Each year Pilot Lions award two $500 scholarships to Bunn High Seniors.    Shown receiving scholarships in 2014 are Rachel Anne Maynard and Amber Ferrell with Lion President Rick Robinson and Education Chairman Lion Ed Armstrong
