👋 Welcome to the Philomath Lions Club!
We’re a volunteer-powered service organization that’s been part of the Philomath community since 1947. From vision screenings to book giveaways, youth support to local events, we’re dedicated to helping where it matters most. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, are new to town, or live near the City, we invite you to be part of something bigger—something that makes a real difference!
💛 What We Do
The Philomath Lions Club supports our community through hands-on service and local partnerships. Here are just a few of the ways we serve:
- Help locals access eye exams, glasses, and hearing aids, and help with vision screenings at local schools.
- Give every second grader in the district an American flag and flag education set.
- Sponsor Read Across America book giveaways for every primary and elemntary students.
- Support Philomath Youth Activities Club and Philomath Community Services.
- Sponsor school programs like Choir, Robotics, Cross Country, and Battle of the Books.
- Provide college textbook scholarships to graduating Philomath seniors.
- Decorate the Philomath Library and host the annual Santa and the Library event.
- Serve food at community events like Music in the Park and the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo Breakfast.
- And so much more!
The funds are raised through:
- Annual Book Sale
- Community Calendar Ad Sales
- Fireworks Sale
- Frolic & Rodeo Breakfast
