WHO ARE THE PEEBLES LIONS?
We have proudly served the Peebles community for more than 70 years!
We are a small town club still growing. Our members are different in many ways, but we share a common goal to make our community the best. We help anywhere we are needed and live up to the Lions motto, We Serve!
Here are some of the things our club has done in the past few years:
- Provided scholarships to graduating seniors from Peebles High School.
- Assisted with tornado relief and started a disaster fund to help those with fire, flood or tornado disaster relief.
- Donated money to help purchase a vehicle for the local police department.
- Donate clothing and winter items to elementary and high school students.
- Held Christmas bulb sales to raise money for the community.
- Collected, counted and sorted hundreds of used eyeglasses.
- Held our annual community fundraiser, Old Timers Days Festival to raise funds to put back into our community.
- Assisted an elderly lady with the purchase of a hearing aid.
- Assist local children and adults with eyeglass exams and purchase of glasses.
- Backpack program for school children and much more.
