Serving our community since 1983

Serving our community since 1983.

Our Motto is: We Serve

That is exactly what we do. Lions International has been in existence since 1917. It all began with a man named Melvin Jones who was interested in having businessmen meet for the purpose of helping serve the needs of their community. It was the first club started for such a purpose. In 1925, Helen Keller was the guest speaker at an International Convention and it was at this time that she challenged Lions everywhere to become Knights of the Blind and do everything we could to bring an end to preventable blindness and help those who are blind. This remains our major goal all these years later.

Over 100 years later, we still serve:  Where there is a need, there is a Lion.

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
