April 30, 2018 - 5M9 District Governor Dinner Tom Plagman

President Jerry Smith and 37 Club Members welcomed District Governor Tom Plagman and his wife Michelle.

  • DG Tom Plagman spoke to the club about Vision Screening and Childhood Cancer and ways our club can participate in this area of service.  He also spoke about the up coming International Convention in Las Vegas.  He also spoke to us about the partnership of the MLVF and the University of Minnesota. The U of MN will provide a single, centralized site that conducts ground-breaking vision research, translates discoveries to patient care, and trains the next generation of ophthalmologists and physician-scientists.


  • Michelle Plagman spoke to the club about the importance of bringing in the youth and ways that we might be able to get them excited to join and how important it is to have a brochure that details what we do to hand out at all events.
