CAMP HORIZON:
We support Camp Horizonwith maintenance and other support.
Last year we provided $3500 for "Camperships," and over 130
hours of volunteer labor to help serve and maintain the camp.
SCHOLARSHIPS:
We support Oak Harbor High School students with
vocational & academic scholarships.
Each year we provide funds for two two-year scholarships,
and two four-year scholarships for a total of $3000 per year.
WHITE CANES:
We support LIONS INTERNATIONAL White Cane Days.
Last year we sent $2500 to Northwest Sight & Hearing Foundation.
SIGHT:
We provide eye exams and glasses for people who need help.
Last year we provided eye exams and glasses to 58 people, many
of them children, and collected over 3450 pair of used glasses
for Lions International.
PLAY IT BY EAR:
We support LIONS INTERNATIONAL Golden Ears.
Last year we sent $300 to Northwest Sight & Hearing for the
Play It By Ear Program.
HEARING AID:
Provide hearing aids to low income members of our community.
Last year we helped six people with hearing problems get hearing aids.
COMMUNITY CONSTRUCTION:
We build wheelchair ramps for persons in need and
other community support projects. Last year we helped 3 families
with ramps, and we spent 140 hours building a children's playground
for Marjie's House, a shelter for abused women and their children.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY:
We support Whidbey Help House by accepting donations at Safeway.
Last year we collected $315 and helped collect 2000 food items.
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT:
We loan Electric and Manual Wheelchairs, Beds, Walkers, Canes,
Crutches, Commodes, Bath Seats & more to persons in need.
Each year we loan more than 300 home medical items to area residents.
HEALTH SCREENING VAN:
We provide free screening to public for hearing, vision,
glaucoma, diabetes, & hypertension.
Last year we provided health screenings to 73 people.
ROAD CLEANUP:
We have adopted a section of State Route 20 south of Oak Harbor
to pick up litter four or more times each year.
BLOOD DRIVES:
We assist Puget Sound Blood Center, with local blood drives with
registration, donor monitoring, and tasty treats and beverages for donors.

Below are some of our projects that help raise money
to provide support for the above programs.
FRUIT SALES:
We sell fresh Washington fruit & vegetables in June, July, and August.
CHRISTMAS TREE SALES:
We sell Christmas trees beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving
through December 24th or until sold out.
FLAG PROJECT:
We display more than 300 American flags throughout Oak Harbor
on 12 Special Days each year. This program is paid for by participating
merchants where flags are displayed plus from the support of individuals.
