In 1974, The LIONS OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION was created to establish a permanent vehicle for the delivery of programs and services to the visually and hearing impaired.

Major programs include the following:

CAMP LIONS for blind/deaf children and adults helps individuals grow in self-confidence, knowledge, independence, leadership, and creativity through a summer recreational experience geared to each one's needs and abilities.  The Camp has several locations around the State.

What a wonderful experience for those who can not attend regular summer camps.

HEARING TESTING & DIABETIC RETINOPATHY TESTING BUSSES travel throughout the state sponsored by the nearly 500 Lions Clubs in Illinois.  They provide free individual testing to the public for problems associated with diabetes and loss of hearing.
