TREE PLANTATION DRIVE :Undertook a Tree Plantaion drive on Sept 9,2012 and planted 200 saplings with fencing near a Cement factory  at Samaguri Village.

IOL CAMP AT JAKHALABANDHA :        Nagaon Greater Lions along with a Team of 3 Doctors and 8 paramededics held a screening camp at Jakhalabandha ,45 kms from here on Sep 1 , 2012 .Total 415 patients were examined.Free Medicines were provided and 119 cases selected for FREE IOL Surgery. 

IOL CAMPS :

Nagaon Greater Lions organise Free IOL camps every year in far flung rural areas.This lionistic Year 3 camps have been organised. Total 827  patients have been screened and 141 IOL Catarct surgery performed till date this year.One more camp is in plan. 

IMPORTANT DAY CELEBRATION

The club celebrates importants days as Republic Day/Independence Day/Children's Day /Women's  day with inmates of Orphanage and Blind School.

SAFE DRINKING WATER BOOTH

A 4 day Pure Drinking water stall was arranged during a big local FAIR where more than 2500 people benefitted.Around 120 Tree Saplings have been planted with Fencing during the Year.

MASS COMMUNITY MARRIAGE ;

 Poor Eligible couples from Tribal Rural areas were screened and selected for a Mass Community Marriage and WEDDING was performed as per their own religion/Custom. Free House Hold gifts were given to each couple to start their life afresh. Total 26 Couples tied knots. Total Expenses were $6000 or 3.3 Lacs INR.
