The Morrisburg & District Lions Club 2015 Duck Race was held Sunday August 2nd at the Morrisburg Beach prior to the start of the Tubie Race.
Goldendoodles Oakley and Floyd as well as black Labrador Retrievers Abby, Finnegan and Koda were clearly the stars of the event as they retrieved 5 numbered ducks from the River to determine the 5 winners of the event.
The 1st place winner of $500 cash was Carolyn Weegar when Floyd entered the River to retrieve her duck Quackers # 351; Carolyn is shown accepting her 1st place prize of a $500 cheque from Scott Robertson pictured with Floyd;
2nd place winner of $200 cash was Ron Brinston when Abby found his duck Brin # 459;
3rd place winner of a $100 Ultramar Gas Card was won by Lisa Rathwell when Finnegan located her duck Loghan # 283;
4th place winner of a $100 Gift Certificate from the McIntosh County Inn and Conference Centre was Scott Lane when Koda decided on the duck # 823; and,
5th place winner of a $100 Gift Certificate from the New Centennial Restaurant was Floyd Latulippe when his duck Owen # 773 was pulled from the River by Oakley.
