Club Projects 

Vision and Hearing screening at Moneta and Huddleston elementary schools, with an assist at Body Camp elementary school.  We bought 3 new vision screening machines and trained on them for future testing.

Fall treasure sale---be on the lookout for donations---no heavy furniture or exercise equipment or clothing please--  we will come and pick up items though, just call and make an appointment---an idea, hand out neighborhood flyers requesting items for donations.

Antique boat show information booth--- We provide free water and a rest tent  and sell LUV tickets and hand out info on organ donation.

We are responsible for litter clean-up quarterly along the entire length of Hendricks Store Road.

Our big fundraiser is held each year in April-- a golf tournament at Mariner's Landing.  This is great fun for all of us to meet and greet our neighbors and friends and make new friends as well.

The RAM--Medical and Dental projects will be in July

Frozen meals are delivered every three weeks to shut-in seniors through CVAAA (Central VA Area Agency on Aging) We have 2 teams of 3 persons each with a back up person for each team.

Bi-monthly visit to CVAAA Nutrition Center to take blood pressures, entertain seniors and provide refreshments.

Working monthly at the Eyeglass Recycling Center in Roanoke

 The club members assist Bedford County Parks and Recreation with the upkeep of the Curtis Fitzgerald Park adjacent to the Moneta Elementary School, also the new Moneta Park on Rucker Road where we sponsored a picnic pavillion, planted many trees, and donated toward the new modern restroom facility.
