Welcome to the Minden & District Lions Club

The Minden & District Lions Club have served the local area of Minden Hills since being chartered in June 1985.  Several projects in the early years gained the club recognition as a true "service club", but it was a bold decision to purchase and operate the local Doctor's Offices in 1995 that solidified their presence in the community.

Whether supporting the new hospital, youth programs, flood victums and special needs of families, the Lions members work hard with the aim of building a great community for all to live.

We wish to thank all those businesses and individuals for their Generous Support of our programs this past year!

The Minden Club is part of District A-16, Region 52, Zone North.

President's Message

February is always a time of humdrum.  Snowfall can be depressing, and we find ourselves bored from being trapped in our homes.  But this is when we Lions work on all the projects and programs that allow us to be a part of the community.  A quick look at our calender of events, and you can see just what I mean.  Our monthly spaghetti dinners continue to serve up a fabulous meal (thanks to all our regulars), Convention is only 14 weeks away, then summer.  Our annual golf tournament (July8th), voluntary road toll (Aug 4th), and a challenge from our twinning Lions Club in Idaho to collect food for the local foodbanks will keep us busy.  For many of us, Lions is a way of life.  The rewards of humanitarian service are humbling, but very gratifying.  Lions, keep up the great work.  Your efforts have allowed us to make a difference here in Minden.  Till next month.  - Pres. Daryl
