NO BAKE SALE
If we ask you to make a cake,
You use eggs, your flour and spice.
No one knows the trouble you take,
To bake a cake that looks so nice.
You carry it miles to the chosen place.
You help the girls prepare the place.
You work for hours, you sell, you buy.
It cost you double, Oh my, Oh my.
So we have thought of a plan that’s really grand
And feel quite sure you’ll understand.
In a little envelope, please put the price of
A cake, or a pie, or something nice.
Without a fuss or bother, you have done your part.
We are sure you will give with a willing heart.
This is the end of our little tale.
