What We Do

Medical devices--The McMinnville Lions Club loans or donates medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, and even hospital beds free of charge. In the last year, we provided over $130,000 worth of medical equipment.

Sight and hearing--We provide eye glasses, eye exams, and hearing evaluations for people in our community in need. We annually provide about $8,000 worth of services.

We also screen thousands of school children for eye disorders every year, leading to early treatment of treatable conditions.

Scholarships--We grant scholarships to selected Mac High School graduates to assist in the cost of furthering their academic and career pursuits. Over the years, we have assisted scores of graduates with help toward college.

Cultural experiences--the McMinnville Lions created the late spring Taste of Mac event that showcases the downtown McMinnville experience with over 30 businesses participating.

We are also co-sponsors of the exciting Keynote Concerts series that brings a variety of top-flight artists to McMinnville. Check it out at http://www.keynoteconcertseries.com where you can learn about the musicians and purchase tickets.

Have fun--Being a Lion is fun, because you're doing good things for others with people who share a goal of making the world a better place and having a good time doing it.
