The 36th Annual Geranium Festival
Saturday, May 18, 2013
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The McDonough Lions Club proudly supports and sponsors the annual Geranium Festival held on the 3rd Saturday in May in downtown McDonough. Between 25,000 and 30,000 people join us each year for one of the best festivals in all of Georgia.
It is among the largest gatherings of people in Henry County throughout the entire year. The Geranium Festival is an "Arts & Craft" festival that has over 300 exhibitors from across the Southeastern United States. In addition to the "Arts & Crafts", the festival enjoys some of the best food around. There is a Children's Section and also a Community Business section.
Admission and parking is free to the festival and a free shuttle is available from Henry County High School. More information about the Geranium Festival can be found on the website at www.geraniumfestival.com . Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GeraniumFestival.
Proceeds from the Geranium Festival allows the McDonough Lions Club to invest in our community and beyond touching the lives of many people.
City of McDonough Christmas Parade
December 2013 - Date and Time TBA
One of the highlights of the Christmas Season in the City of McDonough is the Annual Christmas Parade. People fill the streets of McDonough to see some of the most creative Christmas floats and a special appearance by Santa.
Members of the McDonough Lions Club gather early in the afternoon of the parade to line up every float in the order they will appear in the parade. This takes hours of work to make this process happen. The McDonough Lions Club is thrilled with the opportunity of helping the City of McDonough in this great event.
All Lions are needed for this event. For more information, contact Kelly Lee.
