Marietta Noon Lions conducted a food drive between the dates of January 10 and January 17, 2015. The drive benefitted the Gospel Mission Food Pantry and the Marietta Food Pantry. Collection locations were Kroger, Cole's Tire, Sprout Vision Center, Food-4-Less, and Biehl-Hawn Insurance. On January 17 the drive concluded with members at Biehl-Hawn Insurance, Kroger and Food-4-Less. Matheny Truck Center provided a panel truck for transportation and WalMart provided a gift certificate that was used to buy canned goods. In addition to the food collected, each pantry received $215 to use for additional purchases. Plans are underway to make the food drive an anual event.
