Welcome to Lions Club Of Marcela.

Installed in April 2010, the Lions Club Of Marcela consists of over 24 men and women dedicated to serving the needs of our community. We're proud of our Marcela, and our Club's many activities reflect the Lions motto of "We Serve." Club members serve the community by giving freely their time and labour, in addition to raising funds to support local projects.

THE 2nd Board Of Directors Installation Ceremony 20-July-2011

The Installation of the 2nd BOD for the year 2011-12 was installed on 20th July 2011 @ Hotel Omkar Hall, Marcela under the Presidentship of Lion Manojkumar Ghadi. The Chief Guest of the function Shri Deepak Dhavalikar (hon MLA Priol Constituency), & Guest of Honour Shri Pratap Gawas (hon MLA Pale Constituency). MJF Lion Vinod Gadgil (Past Region Chairman) was the installing officer. The Function started with opening remarks by Samiksha Naik. The dignitaries were escorted to the dais by the President, Secretary & Treasurer. Charter President Lion Gajanan Parab called the meeting to order. Flag Salutation was recited by Lion Swarup Dhupkar. Lion Gajanan Parab welcome the gathering & praised the lions & well wishers for a fruitful lionistic year 2010-11. Secretary Lion Mahesh Mahajan read the club activity report for 2010-11. Lion Gajanan Parab appreciated all the clubs lion members for their co-operation by presenting momentos to them. Lion Girish Nair Introduced the Installation Officer MJF Lion Vinod Gadgil to the gathering. Samiksha Naik Introduced the New President Lion Manojkumar Ghadi to the gathering. MJF Vinod Gadgil Installed the New BOD for 2011-12. Lion Manoj Ghadi addressed the gathering with his wonderful speech & that too in Konkani which was very much lauded by the Chief guest & all present. The chief guest & guest of honour also addressed the gathering & complimented the new installed BOD & wished the club for a wonderful year 2011-12 under the presidentship of Lion Manojkumar Ghadi. RC Lion Sagar Sakordekar was also present for the function & felicitated the new BOD. The gathering witnessed good crowd from various clubs, media & the locals. Prominent digitaries were also recognised by presenting a rose. Visiting clubs dignitaries also felicitated the new installed BOD. Lion Laxman Narvekar proposed vote of thanks & President Manojkumar Ghadi adjourned the gathering for fellowship & dinner.

1st CHARTER NITE CELEBRATIONS 26-Mar-2011

The Clubs 1st Charter Nite was celebrated on 26th March 2011 at "Nonu's Village", Marcela. It was also the 1st official visit of the District Governor MJF Lion Nitin Maganlal to the club. The BOD was conducted by the DG with all the Lion members.

The function started with the opening remarks by Lion Swaroop Dhupkar. Club President Lion Gajanan Parab, Secretary Lion Mahesh Mahajan & Treasurer Lion Sidhaarth Bandodkar escorted the chief guest, District Governor MJF Lion Nitin Maganlal and other dignitaries to the dais. The meeting was called to order by President Lion Gajanan Parab. Flag Salutation was recited by Lion Ashok Dutta which was repeated by all present. Welcome address was given by Lion Gajanan Parab & Lion Girish Nair Introduced the Chief guest of the function to all present.

The Charter was garlanded by the Chief Guest with the presence of all the Lion Members. Secretary Lion Mahesh Mahajan read the annual activity report of the club for the year 2011-12. The slides of the events conducted were shown on the projector. The DG Lion Nitin Maganlal addressed the function and lauded the club for its excellent activites & achievements. Region Chairperson Lion Lady Sandhya Srivastav also spoke on the occassion & congratulated the club for doing the various activities in a very well organised manner. MJF Lion Vinod Gadgil also addressed the function. Lion Sidhaarth Bandodkar proposed the vote of thanks. National Anthem was sung by all present & the meeting was adjourned by Lion Gajanan Parab for fellowship & dinner.
