What Manzini Lions do in Swaziland
Above: Food Distribution. Damaged stock, donated to the Lions Club is collected and distributed to local orphanages.

Left: Vision Screening Lions organised free testing, treatment and spectacles in a rural community near Piggs Peak. This project has been held in several communities throughout Swaziland.

Below: Braille Machines. The Lions Club donated braille typing machines to St Joseph’s, for teaching blind children how to read.

Dr Pons (Standing at the back in the left and centre pictures) performs the cataract operations which are sponsored by the Manzini Lions. This project is supported by an LCIF grant. To date, over 3500 people in Swaziland have benefitted from operations sponsored by the Manzini Lions.

It’s not all work for the members of the Lions Club. But none of the money raised or collected from the public goes to entertaining the members!

Second hand clothing was handed out at Zakhele, a Manzini township.

Bunk beds and matresses were donated to Remar.

Right: RFM Eye Clinic
Lions helped with the setup of the eye clinic at RFM Hospital, by donating furniture and some equipment. Redwing Lions Club, Mississipi helped support this project.
Day out for Kids from Siteki School for the Deaf
The Lions gave the kids a day out at Hlane, from the School for the Deaf in Siteki. The food was kindly donated by many business people around Manzini.
Fruit Trees
Manzini Lions bought and planted fruit trees at Elwandle orphanage.
