The Livermore Lions Club is one of the oldest community service clubs in Livermore. Our membership is composed of men and women of all ages, all backgrounds, all religions, all political affiliations, all nationalities, and all ethnic groups. We are united, however, in our desire to help those less fortunate then ourselves in our community, state, country and world.
Our MISSION is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
The Livermore Lions Club holds a dinner meeting on the 3rd Thursday evening of each month at 6:30 PM at Emil Villas BBQ Restaurant, 3064 Pacific Ave, Livermore. An interesting program is planned for each meeting, they are open to the public and visitors and prospective members are encouraged to attend. Order from the menu. Livermore Lions Lunch Branch: A lunch branch meets the 4th Wednesday of each month from noon to 1:15pm at Emil Villas BBQ Restaurant, 3064 Pacific Ave, Livermore. Meetings are open to the public and visitors and prospective members are encouraged to attend. Order from the menu.
Livermore Lions Breakfast Branch: A new breakfast branch is now being formed. This new branch will meet on the 1st Friday of each month at Emil Villas BBQ Restaurant, 3064 Pacific Ave, Livermore, at 8:00am. Order from the menu. Bring a favorite novel to share and exchange.
Our History
The Livermore Lions Club, founded on August 21, 1924 under the sponsorship of the Oakland Host Lions Club, has served the needs of the Livermore, CA community for over 87 years.
The Livermore Lions Club is one of 45 Lions Clubs located in Alameda and Contra Costa County, collectively known as District 4C3 Lions. Our District is led by District Governor Cathy Hudson (Fremont Dawn Breakers Lions Club) and her cabinet. www.LionsEastBay.org
District 4C3 is one of 15 districts in the State of California, collectively known as Multiple District 4 or MD4. MD4 is led by Council Chair Richard Wilmot, Pride of Laguna Creek Lions Club, Elk Grove, CA and the Council of Governors. www.MD4Lions.org

Since 1925, Lions clubs throughout the world have worked to meet Helen Keller's challenge to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness." Lions Clubs International, founded in 1917 by businessman Melvin Jones in Chicago, now has approx. 45,000 clubs with approx. 1.3 million members in 205 countries and geographical locations and has never wavered from its mission of providing service to local communities, and to serving as "trustees of the future generation."
