Please Visit the Lexington Lions Club

The largest and one of the oldest clubs in Kentucky, the Lexington Lions Club provides a wide range of direct services to the community. Over the last decade the Lexington Lions Club has contributed more than $1.25 million to programs assisting the blind and visually impaired, the deaf and hearing impaired and diabetics -- particularly children -- through vision and hearing screenings, the purchase of hundreds of pairs of eyeglasses each year, the purchase of hearing aids for eligible individuals, the retreat for the deaf/blind, a camp for diabetic children, and the funding of eye surgeries. It also supports many community organizations through annual contributions.

The Lexington Lions Club Bluegrass Fair provides a special entertainment venue for thousands of Central Kentuckians and the funds for the club’s charitable endeavors.

The Request for Charitable Donation Application Form can be found here.

The club’s members are leaders in many business, educational, civic and government entities in Lexington. Its members also have consistently provided leadership at all levels of Lionism in Kentucky, including many zone and region chairs, 15 District Governors, a state secretary, five council chairmen and two International directors. Six are Kentucky Hall of Fame Members, three are Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation past presidents, and one has been honored as a Past District Governor of the Year. One hundred members of the Lexington Lions Club are Lions Clubs International Foundation Melvin Jones Fellows.
