Lions Club International Mission statetement: The Lions Club International is the worlds largest Service Club organization with over 1.35 million members, more than 45,000 clubs in 206 Countries. Founded in 1917, primarly known for fighting blindess, they also care for the enviroment, feed the hungry and help the seniors and disabled. Since 1968, the Lions Club International Fund (LCIF) has also awarded more than $700 million in grants to support Lions Club humanitarian projects around the world. In 2007 it was ranked the number one non-governmental organization.
Lansdale Lions Club was found in 1938. As of April 2016 we have 26 members, most of which are over the age of 65. We are the chartering organization for Troop and Pack 399, Montgomeryville, PA. Without the Lansdale Lions Club this Scout pack would not be able to function. We also give back to the community by cleaning the Wisshickon Creek in the area of Knapp Elementary. Our Leo Club provides community service to Manna on Main Street , Elm Terrace and various other social activities. We collect and recycle eye glasses through various drop boxes and drop off locations. We also support the Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley and the Overbook School for the Blind.
Meetings: our meetings are the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from September to May and are currently be held at Main Street Pizza, 328 W Main St, Lansdale, Pa at 6:30 p.m.. Our meetings are open to members and potential member, so why not stop by and join us.
