Keytesville Lions Club Unveils Restored Historic Horse DrawnTrolley Car Replica

The historic Keytesville horse drawn trolley car replica, which was renovated and restored by the Keytesville Lions Club, was unveiled recently during the Sterling Price Days Festival in Keytesville, Missouri in September, 2009.

According to Chris Calvert, Lions Club President, “completion of this Lions club service project benefits the community by preserving the historical significance of the trolley in the early history of Keytesville, provides a source of “civic pride” for its citizens, acts as a tourist attraction and provides unique rides for local citizens and children during special events such as Sterling Price Days Festival. This type of service enhances the image of the Lions which allows our service club organization to make a difference by meeting pressing needs in our community.”

Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
