Fourteen YEARS OF SERVICE and counting.....

2017-2018

Wow 2017 is over!  What a great first half of our fiscal year for the Kapolei City Lions. We ended the year with 34 members strong.  All these indivduals who volunteer unselfishly to give back to the community has paid in big ways. KCLC members volunteered over 1,500 hours of their time, collected and will distribute over 1400 eyeglasses to Third World countries, and participated in over 60 activities.

KCLC members continue to serve the community by administering numerous Vision/Hearing Screenings to local elementary schools, assisted with the Salvation Army Annual Bell Ringing, and joined the Kapolei High School Leo Club on their Recycling day.  Lion members help support our District 50 by Chairing and participating in the Hawaii Lions Foundation "Walk for Vision and Hearing" Fundraiser, the Great Aloha Run with T-Shirt distribution, attended D50 Cabinet meetings, collected 800 eyeglasses for Lions in Sight, hosted youths with the International Youth Camp to "Wet n Wild", and attended Zone meetings.  KCLC joined other clubs in the Zone, hosting the Annual Lunch/Dinner for the US Veterans at Kalaeloa US Vets Homeless Center.

In October, our 9th Annual Benefit Breakfast Scholarship fundraiser held at the Kapolei High School Cafeteria was a "hit" with awesome entertainment, vendors and a Silent Auction. Each year our Scholarship Program awards Scholarships to high school seniors in our community.  Another annual event for the Kapolei City Lions Club is our  Gift-wrapping Fundraiser in December at Walmart and Ka Makana Ali'i, our newest shopping mall.
