The Lions Club of Kampala Central was Sponsored by the Lions Club of Kampala Host. The Charter application was approved on 28th March 1995 and presented to the Club on 1st May 1995. At the same occassion, the charter cabinet was installed at a colourful ceremony at the Kampala Sheraton hotel.

The Club has since taken active participation in the service of the community especially in the restoration of sight through cataract operations supported by the LCIF. Other activities include, provision of safe drinking water, supporting Nsambya babies home, Kataremwa Cheshire home and the Salvation army Home of the disabled.

The Club carries out free Medical/ Surgical camps in the rural areas where people have limited access to health care and cannot afford the cost of treatment for many ailments.

The Club supports youth programs through Lions Quest and organising periodic talks on youth related topics to groom them into responsible citizens.

On this page, we promise to promptly share with you our activities and programs and we seek your active participation through comments to help us improve our service delivery to the less fortunate than us.
