"Be the change that you want to see in the world"

- Mahatma Gandhi

Mr. Gaikwad, a tribal man in a small village of Maharashtra decided to be the change. He believed that education is a fundamental solution to poverty. Inspite of unfavourable circumstances, he got educated and worked tirelessly to open the doors of education which will lead to desirable influence over development of the rural individual, family, community and society resulting in reduced poverty and unemployment. The outcome of his effort is a residential school for Dalit / Adivasi children coming from neighbouring villages. Presently 430 students (girls & boys) live and study under one roof.
