The Independence Noland Road Lions Club was established in 1981 and its current 26 members have a combined nearly 400 years of membership. That’s a lot of community service!
Our primary fundraiser is a food booth at the annual Independence Chamber of Commerce’s SantaCaliGon festival where we serve brisket and bratwurst sandwiches, hot dogs and cold soft drinks. All the profits go to support the following services as well as many others as need is recognized.
Lions Club International Fund (LCIF)
Leader Dog
“Saving Sight” (MERLF)
Lions Hearing
Lions World Services
And Locally
Cornerstone Back to School Project
Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA)
Eye care for the needy
Prospective new members are men and women, who find satisfaction in helping others, will give of their time and talents and don’t mind getting up early for morning meetings each week; the kind of people who step forward to help others and work well with their fellow Lions.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
