AMATEUR TALENT SHOW:

Our Annual Amateur Talent Show held in March has helped raise the needed funds to serve the local and global communities, and has provided our members and the good citizens of Hemphill, Sabine County, and all of East Texas with a time to bond together and have fun!

HAUNTED HOUSE:

Each fall we conduct the Annual Hemphill Lions Club Haunted House, "A Nightmare on Barber Street". This event is for the thrill seeker in everyone from young to the not so young! A cast of scary characters inhabits our Barber Street location near downtown Hemphill. After an escorted tour through the winding maze inside the house, trick-or-treaters are taken outside for a hike down our spooky trail.

CHRISTMAS PARADE AND FESTIVITIES:

Conducted on the afternoon of the first Saturday in December, the community of Hemphill and surrounding areas are invited to participate in this festive annual event sponsored by our club. Featuring the Hemphill and West Sabine High School Marching Bands as well as the choir from Hemphill Elementary School, this family event culminates with Santa and Mrs. Claus greeting guests on the historic Courthouse Square in downtown Hemphill.

RAFFLE FOR TEXAS LIONS CAMP ENDOWMENT FUND:

Each year our club conducts a raffle, with all proceeds going to the local club charities and services and state and internationa charities, such as the Texas Lions Camp for special needs children, located in Kerrville, Texas.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS:

Our club annually provides scholarships to deserving graduating seniors at Hemphill High School.

VISION SCREENING:

Working with the Vision Screening Team from District 2-S1, our club hosts an annual vision screening day as part of a local senior citizens health fair.  Those individuals needing glasses are fitted with recycled/refurbished glasses free of charge.
