Current Fundraising Projects:

Culver's Fundraiser - 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of every month:  

Proceeds go into our Activities Account:

Lions members assist customers after they place their orders.  Lions will deliver meals and assist with some cleaning.  During our serving time, the club will receive a percentage of the proceeds.  Profits from this fundraiser will be used for local community projects such as Hastings Family Service, Pleasant Hills Library, Hastings Senior Center, Hastings Police Department, Hastings Fire Department, Hastings High School Marching Band & Show Choir, and the Hastings Area Senior Center.  

Breakfast With The Bunny Fundraiser - Saturday, April 6, 2019:

Proceeds go into our Activities Account:

Lion members host their 34th Easter Bunny Breakfast for families on Saturday, April 6th at SEAS Catholic Church.  The breakfast runs from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m. The Lions provide a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, fruit, and beverages.  Parents can take a picture of their children with the Easter Bunny.  Children register for a free drawing of a Easter Bunny Basket or a Stuffed Animal.  About 50 baskets are given out each year. Tickets can be purchased for kid games and face painting.  Prizes are given out at each game.  Parents can participate in the adult raffle.  Around 300 individuals attended the breakfast.  Profits from this fundraiser will be used for local community projects.  This fundraiser was started in 1985.

Little Log House Antique Power Show:
Proceeds go into our Administrative Account:
Friday, July 26th; Saturday, July 27th; and Sunday, July 28th, 2019:

The Little Log House Antique Power Show contracts the members of the Hastings Rivertown Lions Club to staff the main admission gate at their power show on the last weekend in July.  Lions collect admissions and attach wrist bands for those attending the three day show.  In turn, the owners, will make a donation to our Lions Club.   

Minnesota State Fair Fundraiser:  late August through Labor Day:

Proceeds go into our Administrative Account:

Lions District 5M6 has an agreement with the Minnesota State Fair to provide volunteers for the Ticket Booths at the Kid Way Amusement Park and one Ticket Booth at the Mid Way Amusement Park. During the 12 days at the Minneota State Fair, Lions volunteer as Day Captains.  They find Lions or other volunters to work the morning or afternoon shift for their day.  Volunteers put in 7 hours during their shift.  The State Fair pays the 5M6 District $9.00 per hour for each volunteer working. This is a fundraiser for Lions District 5M6.  The district pay clubs $7.75 for each hour their volunteers worked at the Ticket Booths.  The State Fair provides a free admission ticket to the fair.  It is a good way to work at a ticket booth and then walk around the fair on their off shift.  It is a fun way to watch children and parents at the amusement parks.  

 

White Elephant Fundraiser - First Regular Club Meeting in January

Proceeds go into our Administrative Account:

Club members will bring their most interesting White Elephant Gift that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.  This is done at our first regular club meeting in January.  It is a fun evening seeing what members bring and what it goes for.  Winners must open the gift in front of the membership.  Profits go our Lions Administrative Account to pay for our club's operating expenses.  

 

Wreaths Across America:  Anytime

Proceeds go into our Activities Account:

Lion members will be passing out Wreaths Across America forms, to members of the community, to honor American Veterans across the world.  This was originally called the Arlington Wreath Project for the Arlington National Cemetery.  Wreaths were purchased and laid at fallen veteran grave sites.  The 2018 National Remembrance Ceremony will be held Fort Snelling National Cemetery on December 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.  Profits from this fundraiser will be used for local community projects, Lions District and Lions International projects.
