The Harrison Lions Club has been serving its community since its inception in 1951.  The Lions are your friends and neighbors volunteering to help the visually impaired as well as reaching out to those Harrison residents who are underprivileged or in need of our help.

The Harrison Club is part of Multiple District 16 (New Jersey) which is part of Lions Clubs International (LCI), the world's largest service organization.  Our club supports and provides financial aid to the district, state, and international sight projects and are also involved in community programs.

Each year the Harrison Lions Club provides scholarships to college bound students from Harrison High School and sponsors a little league baseball team.  In addition to these projects, the Harrison Lions Club also provides eye exams and eyeglasses to qualified Harrison residents. This is all possible through the efforts of the volunteers who hold fund-raisers to support such projects.  The club also collects used eyeglasses that can be recycled. Each year, approximately $10,000.00 is raised and given out in the form of donations to various local charities and worthy service organizations.

The following list represents some of the charitable organizations supported by our club:

Eye Glasses and Exams
Lions Eye Research Fdn. of NJ
St. Joes School for the Blind

Educational Scholarships

Camp Marcella

Camp Fatima of NJ
Pathways to Independence
St. John's Feed the Hungry
Harrison TIDE
