We meet at noon every Wednesday at Western Sizzlin in Harrison. Contact any Lions Club member for more information about our meetings and projects that serve our Great Community of Harrison.

Ozarks Share and Care - $5,0000.00 Donation to help feed the Community

Harrison Lions Club member Ron Richardson (far right) presented Dave Artman with $5,000 from the club’s foundation and he later that day gave the money to Ozark Share & Care director Joy Prater to buy food for the pantry.

Weekly Meeting 3-8-17

Lion Ralph Hudson introduced our program today. Mayor Dan Sherrell spoke to the club about City of Harrison, Arkansas – Government. Exciting to hear how our great town is thriving. Ralph stated Dan is doing an excellent job as our mayor. A true public servant with no personal agenda and actually gives his department heads credit for the progress we are experiencing. Thank you Dan!

Weekly Meeting 3-1-17

 Welcome our newest Lion Fred Garry. Lion Fred was sponsored by Lion David Artman and Lion Peter DeStefano. Lion Charles David Adair performed the introduction and led the club in a big Lion roar.

Congratulations to Lion Wordna Deere as our President Mark Fowler presents Lion Wordna a pin for Recognition of membership drive as she has sponsored two new members this year. Lion Jim Gray introduced our program this week. Dustin Burleson, Trisha Earnhardt, and Melissa Mellencamp spoke to the club about the Hummingbird House in Harrison for female alcohol and drug addicts a place stay and receive support.

2-17-17 - Annual Lions Club Chili Supper

Our Annual Chili supper was "Delicous" and a big success for all of the Lions Club Projects that it supports. A Big thanks to Jane Henley and Wordna Deere for donating all the tickets given away on Facebook for our Chili supper

Our Sights are set on improving Vision

Warren McDonald with Arkansas Blue Cross recently presented a check through the Blue and You foundation in the amount of $32,000 so the club can purchase five more PlusOptix Vision Screening machines. Lion Jane Henley is to be commended for her hard work in writing this grant.

The 24th Annual Chili Supper sponsored by the Harrison Noon Lions Club will be held February 25, 2014 from 5-7pm at the Harrison High School Cafeteria.  The Goblins play the Huntsville Eagles that night.  We will be serving Chili, Cheese, Crackers, Coleslaw, Drink & Desert for $5.00.  You can buy a ticket from any Lions Club member or purchase at the door!  All proceeds go to helping the vision & hearing impaired in our community

Giving Back Industries

Mac’s Repair is the first business to be opened by Giving Back Industries, Inc., (GBI) which was created to provide employment and training opportunities to people in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. GBI is an Arkansas 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation. Donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. The people GBI helps have already taken the first step to helping themselves – they’ve gotten clean. GBI’s goal is to help them stay clean by giving them hope for a brighter future. You can help. Support our hardworking employees by bringing your lawnmowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, golf carts, and other small engine items in for repair. Call 870-743-4948.
