The Haliburton & District Lions Club was awarded an HCDC's (Haliburton County Development Corporation) local inititiative grant for the improvement of their BBQ equipment to help better support their communty.
Haliburton & District Lions wanted to thank the managers of our two main food stores for their support of our many ventures. Each were awarded an Honourary Life directorship in Lions Camp Dorset

THE HIGHLAND FESTIVAL SINGERS CELEBRATES THEIR 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH THE HELP OF THE HALIBURTON & DISTRICT LIONS CLUB APPLYING FOR AN ONTARIO TRILLIUM GRANT AND SUPPORTED BY THE HALIBURTON COUNTY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.
The Highland Festival Singers (62 voice local choir) and 4 professional soloists (Graham Thomson, Jon-Paul Decosse, Charlene Santoni and Heather Jewson) performed Handel's Messiah accompanied by an 18 piece orchestra, the Talisker Players Chamber Orchestra at St. George's Anglican Church on November 26th and 27th, 2011.
