About the Geneva Lions...
Geneva Lions Club was chartered January 13, 1948 with 21 members. The club celebrated 71 years of Lionism this past January!
Our number one service activity is Sight conservation and work with the Blind. Our Geneva Club works with optometrists in providing eye examinations and glasses for those individuals in need of assistance. We also work with diabetes education and special camps for diabetic children.
Our Club also supports : HRDC, Stuff the Semi, School Supplies, Recreation Department, Geneva Band Boosters, Leadership Forum, and FCCLA. We also sponsored vision screening at Mulkey Elelmentary to identify students who needed eyeglasses or follow up appointments for eye care.
The re-sodding of the Triangle coming into town was a Lions Club project. Vests were donated to the local police department as well as donations to our fire and rescue departments. A new “ Welcome to Geneva” sign was added to the road coming into town sponsored by the Lions Club.
The Geneva Lions Club also donates to many local civic organizations, including the Warren Beck Leadership Program and the Club participates in The Salvation Army “Ringing the Bell” fundraiser each year
Our Club proudly sponsored a band member to attend our National Meeting to participate in the 100 year anniversary of Lionism.
The Pancake Supper is our main fund raiser and is held each February. Also Lions' mops are sold at a local grocery store. Be sure to check our Gallery for photos and our calendar for upcoming events.
