To mark this momentous milestone, The Ganano
que Lions Club  built

The Lions Centennial Park was officially opened on July 15th, 2017

"Redefining Limitations" at Joel Stone Park Beach
The Gananoque Lions Club  built an innovative ramp that will safely allow those with disabilities including residents and visitors easy access to the St Lawrence River. This reflects the creativity and commitment of both the Lions Club and the Town of Gananoque..

With 46,000 clubs and 1.4 million members in over 200 countries, the Lions Club is the world's largest service club organization. Founded in 1917, the Lions Club is perhaps best known for fighting blindness,

Yet club members also work to feed the hungry, aid seniors and the disabled, and care for the environment. Lions are a global service network of volunteers that make a difference in their local communities. The club motto is “Where There's a NEED, There's a LION.”

Distict  A4 spans a large geographical area that includes western Quebec and in Eastern Ontario from Chalk River to the St. Lawrence River.

ROAR

A ROAR OUT TO OUR COMMUNITY
The Gananoque Lions Club sends a Huge thank you to our community that attended our main fundraising opportunities, donated towards our Lions Events and volunteered a helping hand throughout the year   Our three main fundraising activities include The Gananoque Lions Club Cruise-in, The 1000 Island Family Ribfest and our Bingo evenings at The Community Spirit Centre.
We want you to know that 100% of the funds raised go to deserving groups, organizations and individuals. So far since September 2016 and February  2017 the Club has donated approximately $10.000.  We will keep this figure up on a regular basis to let you know what we have been supporting our community financially.

To see where these funds go please go to the PROJECTS tab.
