Lions Club of Frenchs Forest members 2011


Throughout 2011 Frenchs Forest Lions Club was celebrating its 50th year of serving the local community since being chartered in June 1961.

A number of very special events were held to mark this milestone occasion including the announcement of a new community project to assist older aged men with disabilities.

Civic Reception

Warringah Council hosted a Civic Reception at the Council Chambers on 18th June, 2011, to celebrate the club's 50th Anniversary. Mayor Michael Reagan congratulated the Club on its 50 years of serving the community and club President Tony Philps, presented the Mayor with a copy of the club's 50th Anniversary History. The reception was attended by many of the Club's current members including John Diamond a charter member of the Club and wife Paula.

To be held for members, their partners and invited guests at the Wakehurst Golf, Upper Clontarf St, Seaforth commencing at 6.30 pm
