Inaugural Folsom City Host Lions Golf Tournament, 26 April 2014

The Folsom City Host Lions Club held its inaugural Golf Tournament at Empire Ranch Golf Course in Folsom, California.
The event is a fund raiser for the club.

Folsom City Host Lions Club inducted the new officers for the Club sponsored Leos (Vista De Lago High School), at the Clubhouse. PDG Don Ring, Honorary FCHL Member, led the ceremony to induct the New Officers

Tonight was St. Patrick's Day dinner. President's Paul Wyant's son shared with the club his experience traveling Ireland.

2014-02-05 Speech Contest

Folsom City Host Lions Club held its annual Student Speaker contest at the Rotary Clubhouse in Lew Howard Park, Folsom. The contest is part of the California District MD4

Three students from Vista de Lago High School spoke on the topic "Community Service -- What Does It Mean and Why Does It Matter?"

There were four Honorary Judges which include Karri Howell(Mayor of Folsom), Jim Den Dulk(Director at Folsom Chamber of Commerce), Jackie Riley(Human Resources Director for the Ca Housing Finance Agency) and Muriel Brounstein(community activist and co-owner of Dooley Tax and Financial Services).

District 4 C5 District Governor, James "Andy" Anderson, visited the Folsom City Host Lions Club.

Regular Meeting of the Folsom City Host Lions Club at the Rotary Club House in Lew Howard Park, Folsom California. Members of the Sierra Lions Club at Rancho Cordova, CA visited the Folsom City Host for this meeting Eagle Scout candidate John Kretschmann of Troop 237 presents to the Lions members his proposed Eagle Scout project of Platform Hammocks for bears and lions at the Folsom Zoo. Past District President Don Ring, discuss with the club his trip to Germany for the International Conference.

Folsom Lake Lion Chris Gerard presented her work with Canine Companions for Independence(http://www.cci.org/) provides highly-trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge.
