Lions Clubs around the world raise money through various projects so that the moneys raised can be used to assist those people less fortunate than ourselves.

We would like to thank everyone who supports Lions Clubs International by supporting these projects.

The Lions Club of Engadine is actively involved in the 'Lions Recycle for Sight' project.

Unwanted eye glasses of any type are welcome and are sent to third world countries after undergoing cleaning, sorting, grading and packaging and labelling.

  • Reading Glasses, long distance glasses and unwanted sunglasses are collected, processed and re-alocated to needy recipients.
  • Please leave your unwanted glasses or lenses with our local optometrists, Lions Markets (the first Sunday of the month) or give them to the Lion on duty for our weekly "Lucky Envelopes" outside 2233 Realty in the Main Street of Engadine Shopping Centre every Saturday morning.

Regular projects

Monthly Markets

In the Engadine Town Square, right in the heart of the Engadine shopping centre, adjacent to the Engadine Community Centre and underneath the Engadine Town Clock.

The first Sunday of every month (except January).  The market is open from 8 am until 1 pm.

If you would like to have a stall at the market please read the following:-

Post the application form with required payment to PO Box 15 Engadine NSW  2233.  Please note that all sites must be paid for in advance.  No refunds given for no-shows.

Annual McAlister Fete

This popular annual family event was held on Saturday, November 21st in 2015.  The weather was perfect, the crowds were great, the entertainment was excellent and we would like to thank all the locals who came as well as the stall holders for making the day the success it was.

 

 

Lucky Envelopes

Outside 2233 Realty right in the heart of town every Saturday morning (except long weekends, wet weather and all of January- Lions need a break too).

Envelopes cost fifty cents each and you might win up to ten dollars per envelope.  Remember - you have to be in it to win it.

 

All profits from Lions activities are allocated to Lions Community Projects, local,district, Australia wide and international.  Lions are not paid.  We volunteer our time to serve our community - local, national and international.
