Easley Lions 2016-2017 Vision Screenings

Today we finished up this year's vision screenings for the Pickens County Elementary Schools with Dacusville Elementary. We screened 319 students of which, 44 of them were referred for further screening with a licensed eye care provider.

This brought our total school screenings to date for this year to 1916 Screened and 208 Referred for further service.

We also screened 81 at two local churches with a referral for 8 needing further vision attention.

The Easley Lions were proud to participate in the Palmetto Pride Community Clean-up on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.

This morning the Easley Lions presented a check for one of two protective bulletproof vests for

Easley Police Depatment's Canine Officers " Lu " & " Rex ". We appreciate all of our Officers in Blue! Thank you all & God bless you!

Rocky Bottom Fishing Tournament For The Blind

The Easley Lions enjoyed serving meals to and visiting with this year's participants in the 2017 Fishing Tournament For The Blind

at Rocky Bottom Retreat & Conference Center for The Blind.

What an awesome time for all involved.

A Braille Watch, donated as a prize by Meredith Stansell of Easley, SC, for the

2017 Fishing Tournament For The Blind, 

was awarded to William "Harold" Phillips, of Spartanburg, SC. Harold, who is totally blind, was very pleased with and grateful for the watch.

Kathy Howard, Chairperson for SC Lions Vision Services, presents Lion Phil Smith with the Franklin Mason Fellowship Award. This award is in recognition of a $1,000 contribution to the SC Lions Foundation.
