14th Annual Giant Book fair

The Deux-Montagnes Lions Club is having its 14 th Annual Book Fair on  Saturday  and Sunday October 21st and 22nd,  2017 from 9 am to 4 pm. This popular sale has been very successful in the past, with a wonderful assortment of books for your reading pleasure.

There will be approx.  25.000 + books, in good condition, all classified into categories both English and French, including a great choice in Children’s books.

Prices are as follows:  Pocket books are $ 0.50 and all hard covers and large soft covers will be sold for $ 1.50.  Children’s’ books are $ 0.25 each. There is also an Arts and Collectable table with reasonable prices as marked,.

 Snack bar on premises.

All proceeds will be used in serving the communities of the whole region.

There will be a pre-sale on Friday October 20th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm , only for handicapped individuals in need of wheelchairs, walkers and canes .Mothers with babies in strollers are also very welcome at that time.

November 25th. 2017.  Corned beef and Cabbage supper:
Location: Veterans Hall, 141 Grand Moulin, Deux-Montagnes. Que J7R 3C8
Time: Hall will open at 6:30 pm.
The previous Corned beef and supper was so succesful that by popular demand we are once again serving this delicious meal.
This is a fundraiser for our work in the community.
Tickets will be $ 20.00, and there will be a cash bar.

Our Christmas cakes are on sale at the Book fair, and will be on sale at  the corned beef and cabbage dinner .We will advise you of further sale locations in the near future.
 In the recent flood we lost a lot of equipment , and many wheelchairs, walkers and other equipment that we use in our operations had to be scrapped. If you have any wheelchairs or walkers littering up your house, we will be pleased to accept this donation..

Like to become a member?

New members are always welcome and if you would like to serve your community, and learn more about how we operate and work together, you are welcome to attend one of our meetings. Fees are very reasonable and affordable to all. Just call any one of the Lion members and let them know that you are interested to learn more about Lionism.

We are a growing club and one of the few service clubs in the area that is increasing the membership rolls, so we must be doing something that the community treasures..  If  you would like to know what the Lions are all about and our participation in the community, send us an E mail  at and we will be pleased to forward you an information sheet.

Equipment  for personal use.

We have wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers and other such equipment that we loan out at no cost for use in the community ,though due to our flooded premises in May we lost a lot of equipment, and we may be unable at this time to help you.. Please contact Lion GiGi O',Brien at 450-623-5226. She will arrange with the Lions in charge of the equipment. to look after the request.. We will do our best.
