Food Project

We deliver food to 11 families in our community

Food is collected by Lions on every Saturday from various supermarkets.

Which is then packed and sorted and then distributed to the 11 families.

Beside the 11 families fed on a weekly basis an extra 600 families are fed daily, through soup kitchens and volunteers

Our club every year has a Heath day, where we do diabetes testing, cholestrol testing, servical testing and HIV testing.

Our biggest fundraiser is our Ladies Spring Day, where our Lion Men serve the ladies this is an yearly event, where we then give some of our proceeds to various charities.

The event takes place normally the 1st Saturday in September at the Milnerton Golf Club.

Lots of fun is had

Father Christmas and non perishable food stuffs

Our club every year has a Father Christmas and tin collection at the Edgemead Shopping Centre, where we collect money or tin food towards our food project, and to give the families we feed a really nice Christmas Hamper.

Our club participates in the selling of the Lions Christmas Cakes.

We also support the Peace Poster Competition yearly

Once a month we have a Seniors evening, where the Lions entertain the Seniors

Our club gets involved as often as possible with Cheshire Homes, recently we ran various stalls for them at their Annual Fete.

Last but not least our club participates in all District and Zone Projects and Socials
