Earth Wind and Fireworks! 2014

As a local resident of Dartford, I always go to the fireworks display held in Central Park on bonfire night which is usually on the first Saturday of November. This is an annual event organised and run by the Dartford Lions Club.
The fireworks always start at 8pm, but I am usually in the park well before, camera around my neck, as I love watching the bonfire and the crowd of people milling around. I also love the children gathered around the bonfire, happy and waiting for the countdown.
The atmosphere is always a cheerful one. Glow sticks being waved in the air is truly a magnificent sight, making a beautiful rainbow of colours in the dark..
We all wait patiently for that all exciting countdown.... And the fireworks display never fails to impress everyone and excite the little ones. And not forgetting the fun fair which is usually arrives in town few days earlier.

Dartford Lions Fireworks
& Bonfire Extravaganza
Our fireworks display is now in its 41st year.
The first display was held at St Vincent’s Boys Home, Temple Hill in 1972.
Dartford Lions have been very proud to help with the organising of this special event and all the other Firework Nights over the past 40 + years.
With the funds raised by the sale of tickets and bucket collections on the day are distributed to amongst others EleanorLions Hospice, local schools, charity organisations. Organisations both local and international benefit from our fundraising

Bonfire is lit at 7.15 pm

Proceeds from this event will go to the EllenorLions Hospices and other Dartford Lions Charities.
This event is suitable for families, however, parents should be aware that the evening will feature several loud bangs which could be frightening to very young children. Also for this reason no dogs are allowed in the park during the evening. Please be aware that displays of this type are subject to the weather, and under certain circumstances such as high winds, the crowd may be asked to move away from downwind of the fire for their own safety.
Please note:
Dartford Town Centre will be very busy, it is advised that visitors where possible use public transport. Visitors to the Fireworks should try to purchase tickets before the event, to save queuing on the evening.
