The Colonial Heights Lions Club was founded in 1947. Our members do whatever is needed to help out local community. Our primary mission is to help the blind and visually impaired in our community.

The Lions Clubs also assists the hearing impaired through recycling hearing aids as well as eyeglasses; We have several  collection boxes for unwanted/used eyeglasses/hearing aid donations in Colonial Heights:

Locations:  Family Vision Care (798 Southpark Boulevard), Walmart Vision Center, Dr. Farley and Assoc., Public Library, Health Department, America's Best (Optometry), Colonial Heights Vision Center (Optometry), Tussing Elementary School, Col. Hgts. Community Center, Sam's Club. Please contact a Lion if you cannot locate a drop off box.

Many people may realize that we assist needy people in our community with funding for eye exams and eyeglasses, but additionally we donate to a number of sight related organizations such as: Lions of Virginia Foundation (LOVF), Burkeville Lodge (retreat for the blind), leader dog foundation, Virginia Voice (radio reading service for the blind), Prevent Blindness and Lions Club International.

We are also closely affiliated with the other Lions clubs in the Tri-Cities and Richmond area and we often work in conjunction with other clubs to provide assistance to sight related causes and the blind.
